Thailand End Of Absolute Monarchy - Present

In 1932, a group of young military officers and civil servant made the Sisame Revolution which transforming the Government of Thailand from an absolute to a constitutional monarchy. Under the great power of military, King Rama VII initially accepted this change, but then he abdicated because of conflicts with the government.

From then on, Thailand was riled by successive military governments. In a long time, Thailand involved in many wars with French and then Japan. The revolution of 14 October 1973 has lead to the transformation from a constitutional monarchy to the democracy. Since 1973, history of Thailand was an unstable period of democracy. Conflicts between parties Democrat Party and People’s Power Party frequently took place leading to the changes in government.
