The exclusive bi-cultural characteristics of the population in Satun mirror the communal harmony among community of two faiths: Buddhists and Muslims. Moreover, Satun also contains the cultures of a home-grown group called Chao Le whose settlements can be found on Lipeh Islands, and on Bulone Island. These people view typically dissimilar cultures and traditions from those of the native people.
